Another hot take I have is that Sonic 4 episodes 1 and 2 are so bland. My reasons for this are that there's nothing original in these games. Episode 1 takes Green hill, Casino night, Labyrinth and Metropolis and adds nothing new to it besides a couple of "Gimmicks" that suck. Episode 2 is also guilty of this. For example, Sylvania Castle uses aquatic ruin and marble garden, Oil desert uses Oil ocean and Sandopolis, White Park uses Ice cap and Carnival Night, and death egg is the same with the Stardust Speedway ending. Another reason these games suck is there are 3 acts. Really, 2 acts is the perfect amount which we figured out in 1992(the release year if Sonic 2 in America). Episode 1 art style is nauseating to look at. Episode 2 isn't so bad but isn't the best. I have many more reasons but I'll save that for another time. Tl:DR, Sonic 4 sucks and don't play it. Just watch Cybershells video or Eldarins video of Episode 1 specifically to bat all the details
