Howdy! Before you go and submit your mod, please look over as to how our submission system here works.
HOW TO SUBMIT
On the main page, navigate your way to the board titled "Mod Submissions" (or click here). You will notice that it is completely empty on your end. Click on "Create Thread" in the top right corner of the board to start a thread, and you can proceed to set it up how you would submitting a mod on other sites by giving it a title/subject, description, screenshots, download link, etc. as well as making sure it adheres to the submission rules below. We are not responsible for hosting your mod here and you must find a site to host your download on (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.). Once finished, you may submit it where it will be visible in the category only to you and moderators/administrators. Once reviewed and approved/rejected, you will receive a private message from a staff member informing you of your mod's status and your submission will be moved to "Mod Releases" (here) if approved, where it is visible to everybody else. If it is rejected, your thread will be deleted and informed as to why it was not approved.
SUBMISSION RULES
1. Low effort mods are not allowed in any matter. There is a bit of a grey area as to what's considered a low effort mod, so each submission is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. If your mod is still a work in progress but you want to provide a download, you may submit it here and it will be accepted as long as it meets quality control, otherwise you should post it in the Works in Progress Board.
Here's a few common examples of low-effort mods that most likely will be rejected:
-Recolors (such as simply changing either a palette or altering the colors on a sprite sheet)
-Sound mods with very minimal SFX changes/additions
-Music mods that do not properly loop
-Lazily ported/edited/created sprites
-Unmodified functions leftover in script files
-Missing mod.json or main.lemon files needed for the mod to function
-Mods that consistently give the user error messages outside of dev mode
-Work in progress mods that have little to no changes
2. Be sure you provide unmodified screenshots/video footage of your mod and make sure they are properly formatted. Missing screenshots/footage will result in your mod being rejected.
-If you have a lengthy amount of screenshots or videos, it is highly recommended you put them in a spoiler.
3. Any sort of malware or virus that is found in your mod will result in an instant rejection and a permanent ban from the forums.
4. Any sort of DRM or mod lockout integrated into your mod, whether activated based on other mods being activated or the platform the mod is being run on, will not be tolerated in any way. Content locked behind any specific platform will not be tolerated either unless it is to fix/get around bugs related to that platform.
5. Theft and plagiarism will not be tolerated. Obtain permission and give credit to everybody involved in the making of your mod if they ask for it, regardless of how minor their contribution is. Lack of credit if required will be considered theft.
-If you are making a mod that serves as an expansion to another mod, such as sprite replacements for an already existing mod, be sure you get full permission from the original mod creator if they require it. Adding compatibility with another mod to ensure it functions properly with your mod does not apply to this rule.
6. Any reuploads/updates of mods from other sites will not be allowed unless you get explicit permission from the original author to do so, regardless of if they're active anymore or not.
7. Any mods created specifically to incite drama/controversy will not be accepted.
8. NSFW submissions are not allowed in any way.
9. Please do not constantly bump your mod while it is pending review. This will lessen your chances of it being approved regardless of if it follows the other rules.
10. You will have to host your mod download off-site. GitHub is highly recommended if you know how to work with it. If not, you may use Dropbox, Onedrive, or Google Drive. Sites like 4shared, Sendspace, Mega, Mediafire, and Gamebanana are forbidden for hosting.
-If your mod requires another mod from a site that isn't allowed and hasn't been uploaded here, you are allowed to link to it until it gets uploaded here.
If your submission follows these rules, then your mod should be accepted.
