As you might already heard, there's an embargo in both Sonic 1 Forever, Sonic 2 Absolute, and Sonic CD 2011 that disallows modding in features introduced in the Plus expansion for Sonic Origins (namely the introduction of Amy Rose with a nerfed moveset from the upcoming Sonic Superstars). I was wondering if this embargo applies to this game as well, since you guys already have an origins mod for this. |

I tried to make the CD+s1/2/3 spindash mod, and it got witheld, i asked permission to m.r_lucky but he is out at many time

Sonic 3 AIR is a port of the original Mega Drive version of Sonic 3 & Knuckles to modern systems and therefore does not utilse the Retro Engine or any features from Origins S3, so it's basically impossible to do a 1:1 port of any RSDK code. Accurate remakes in of those features S3AIR are a possibility and do exist though.

As far as I am aware, you can't do a port because these games don't run on the retro engine as is. On top of that the only reason I can think of why you'd want to port a moveset to these games is because you don't want to pay for origins and just play Amy for free on these games. That's a form of piracy, which is something no one wants to put up with.

There hasn't been but that's probably because Origins Amy isn't exactly all that inspired and to be perfectly fair, the old Amy Mod and the current one are both far more creative and fun. I am open to the idea of someone improving her moveset and making her feel more dynamic and unique, though. That should be the goal rather than a simple port. |

In general, we don't really mind if any Origins/Plus-related mods are on the forums. What we do NOT approve of it if the intention of a mod or statement is supposed to compete with Origins Plus, as it is disrespectful towards the original creators of an official product. To add both are completely different experiences for the player as well. Thanks for asking! |
