So, i've been using the SHC release of this mod, but for some reason, all tails based characters cant jump. I can send a mod list if can help fix the issue.

How would I go about using multiple data select sprites for an ES mod outside of what ESU uses? (For example, a unique save portrait if certain conditions are met in a file).
I've tried to render them in scripts myself but it seems ESU forces its own coding.

The update brought some regressions that broke the Mania animated signposts. My suggestion is this, it makes this function less restrictive to fix it, but it's your call of course: function string getCharacterSignpostSpriteKey(u8 character)

Love the new controls for Amy in that SHC 2023 build.
They require some skill and align better with the character, more than Origin / Superstars in my opinion.

This is incredibly cool, but-- of course, to use all these slots.
Are there any tutorials on how to convert existing characters to work with this?
I have some half-finished Blaze and Honey characters that replace Sonic, so I would just like to copy all the Sonic mechanics and stick them on another slot. Same deal with a Cream character that replaced Tails I have.
And there is a Rouge that is based on the older version of slots that is set to replace slot 3. I think I know how to adapt that one.
I'd also like to make slots where I can pair characters. So have Knuckles & Fang or Fang & Honey or Blaze & Cream.
A few years ago with the original extra slots I was able to put together a Fang and Amy mod that worked, but-- this code seems a lot more complicated to me. I think the old one contained copies of scripts for Sonic alone, Tails alone, Sonic and Tails, and Knuckles alone and that's why I was able to figure out how to do it back then. But this version doesn't have those files. In fact, I am pretty sure if I had those files I could piece together how to do all this just fine-- but without them I am just lost.

Very quality mod. I like the ability to play as different characters without the main trio being replaced.
I do have a question, does the Sonic Hacking Contest version of the mod make version 8.0 obsolete?
