Have you ever wanted to share your mod suggestions or ideas, but didn't know where to? Well, you've come to the right place! Post any ideas or suggestions for a mod that you'd like in reply to this thread, if you want! I'll even share my own suggestions and ideas here, too!
Part 1: Major Ideas
Idea #1: All Competition Zones / 2-Player Zones as Actual Levels!
Description: Basically, these zones would be hidden, full-length zones, which you'd get to by finding them somewhere within their respective level. They'd flow together like so: Azure Lake hidden within Mushroom Hill, Balloon Park hidden within Carnival Night, Endless Mine hidden within Lava Reef, Desert Palace hidden within Sandopolis, and finally, Chrome Gadget hidden within Death Egg. These zones could be for all sorts of stuff, from simple bonuses such as lives and more rings, or extra chances to get the emeralds, or even... to contain the emeralds themselves..?
Idea #2: Sonic 2 8-Bit (Mega Drive[?]) Styled Emerald Collection!
Description: Just as in Sonic 2: Save Tails or Sonic 2 8-Bit, the Chaos Emeralds would be hidden within the zones, having spot(s) selected throughout all of the zones. Miss one in one zone? You'll get a chance at it next zone. This encourages even more exploration of the zones that the simple warp rings do. Usually, you can just Google up the warp ring locations, but with the Emerald's locations randomized between the selected locations per act and zone, more exploration will be done if a 100% of the game is wanted. The Super Emeralds will be the same however. This would have compatibility with the previous mod, even having some locations hidden within the hidden zones.
Idea #3: Extra Slot... Mecha Sonic!?
Description: This time around, you play as Mecha Sonic himself! He has some exclusive zones, a boss-fight with Sonic (and later, Knuckles, if you got all of the Super Emeralds!) and even the ability to enter his Super form, using the Super Emeralds! Most of the zones are areas within Death Egg, though. His abilities would basically be the ones from the fight. The bosses he'd fight would just be some robots that Robotnik made, which had gone rogue.
Part 2: Minor Ideas

Description: The animations would have extra frames created and added so that they'd be a lot smoother.
