Can you force specific controller buttons for the main menu?

I recently updated to the latest stable release of A.I.R. after being away from the scene for half a year to take advantage of some new mods that require it, and noticed that the Options and Mod menus now have a spiffy new button UI that mimic what you might have connected to your PC. In my case it's a Dual Shock 3 connected wirelessly via an oldie Mayflash adapter, something I've used for years. Thing is, the adapter makes the PC think what's connected is an Xbox 360 controller, and so I assume A.I.R. also detects it as such. So I have a bunch of Xbox button prompts instead of Playstation buttons showing up when I fiddle around in the menus. I checked all over the in-game options and even the official manual but I saw no way to change this manually.

*Is* there a way to swap them? A mod, perhaps?
