Out of all the zones across Sonic 3C, I rarely ever find myself coming back to Sandopolis Zone. I don't dislike the setting or find it very difficult, even with the ghosts. It's just...boring to play, and annoying at worst. Both acts lack flow, even in their speedy sections, which are typically the same loop-de-loop. This adds to a feeling of repetition in each respective act. I also think Act 2 lasts too long, but only because of my aforementioned issues with SOZ. I take even longer to beat Mania's TMZ2, but unlike SOZ2 I enjoy it thanks to the varied level design and gimmicks that keep me engaged.
All that being said, I would like to ask the boards: What do you believe would make Sandopolis Zone more fun to play?

honestly, not much really sandopolis is pretty fun to play if you either get better with it or a play as a character with a wall move (like knuckles or mighty)

I feel like adding a better level gimmick because I feel like the ghost gimmick is often ignored because of how much levers there are in the level

I make a new top path that will be difficult to get to, but it rewards the player with lots of speed.
I also would remove most obstacles like the crushing cylinders and sand waterfalls.
