Hey all!
This is a full soundtrack replacement mod I've been working on for over a year now, previously submitted via GameBanana, though it will be maintained on both sites.
Each song is remade from scratch in Ableton, with new synths and sounds, higher quality production, some live instruments, all brought together with many instruments from the original Genesis soundtrack. I aim to make every track sound fresh and fleshed out while still maintaining the feel of the original. Every track is trimmed and looped seamlessly, rendered in high quality with few compression artifacts, and recreated meticulously. All fast variants are properly implemented.
The current version is my 8th alpha/beta release, with somewhere around 15-20 songs missing from the complete soundtrack.
Update: Version 0.9 is here, a smaller one. I got burned out with this for a while, but I'm just about ready to finish it up.
V0.9: Added Competition Menu, Chrome Gadget, Sonic 2 Boss, Prototype Knuckles and S3K Credits Medley
Revamped Azure Lake, Final Boss,
Improved S3 Miniboss, Ice Cap 1, and probably some other things I've forgotten, I haven't documented updates very well.
