Here's the 2.4 release trailer!
Change the visuals of most levels with WeatherMod, a mod that adds TOGGLEABLE weather to almost all stages. There are many options to customize the weather, from rain, snow, sandstorms, thunderstorms and blizzards, with gradients to spice up the visuals. As if that wasn't enough, the mod also comes with level palettes, with a cloudy look for rain, and if you have lightning strikes enabled, the sky gets even darker! Give it a try, I guarantee you'll love it!
2.5.1 - Blizzard fixed (yesterday when testing it didn't happen, not sure why), Eggman's Revenge Blizzard bug fixed, MGZ palettes using some code from Separate MGZ Palettes.
2.5 - Blizzard goes the opposite way, Agent Stone's LBZ2 Bossfight is no longer affected by lightning strikes, Rain Intro/Outro added.
2.4.2 - The BMPfying started. A few sprites were turned into BMPs instead of PNGs, for compatbility with level palette mods.
2.4.1 - Fixed Scared Tails in Thunderstorms remaining active even with it being disabled in the options, made the Weather Priority settings into separate zone-based options, some windy sprites now don't appear uderwater, Fog & Windy gradients can now be disabled. Added a spearate download for just the Death Egg Debris on DDZ (but it's still being kept in WeatherMod)
2.4 - Added sunny, foggy and windy weather types, gameplay options were added, like Tails getting scared at lightning strikes and added Death Egg debris + the destroyed Death Egg on DDZ's background.
2.3 (Released on my birthday) - Rain speed can now be set to 1x during rain and 2x during thunderstorm, LBZ and MHZ can have per-act palettes
2.2 - Overlays and gradients should now work with ultrawide resolutions up to 500 horizontal pixels! Rain speed can now be doubled! Water now blocks rain, but it has an bug; While it isn't fixed, it will be in the experimental tab and disabled by default.2.1- In levels that rain, you can enable LIGHTNING STRIKES! Every so often (2s, 15s, 32s and 45s), the screen will flash white for a few moments! The sky even gets darker to reflect this change! Ice Cap Zone gets a new weather type: the Blizzard. Takes up more screen space and comes with it's own gradient. (Gradient can be disabled in the options). Sandopolis' sandstorm got a remake and now has an actual gradient, which can be turned off!
2.0 - Added Level Palettes
1.1 - Weather is now toggleable in individual acts, Gradients can be globally toggled or individual zone (no separate acts) toggled. Made clear in description about unique zone rain gradients. Snow now falls slower. Color Correction added.
Screenshots:
The first screenshot present above before I made that nice drawing
AIZ's fire gets a little hotter.
CNZ gets a darker gradient and colored lights at the bottom.
ICZ gets to snow!
SOZ1 has an sandstorm. It's gone when entering Act 2.
With thunder enabled, the sky gets darker...
...and lightning often strikes.
How about a blizzard to freeze up things a bit more?
The feeling of the warm sun makes me feel good.
The wind is taking all of the balloons! It's not just visual, though.
Indoor zones (excluding DEZ) get fog. Nice.
Take a look at what an hedgehog can do, if it means saving the world.
