Version 1.2.3 of the mod's out now. Basically, this version just collects all the github commits from the past two months and puts them into an actual release. Changelog: - Removed bad spike location in AIZ1
- Added collision to the ceiling in HCZ1's secret area with the lightning shield and ring monitors
- Small tweaks in HCZ2, MGZ1, and CNZ1 (again)
- Fixed missing chunks in LBZ1's first indoor section
- Fixed collision in LBZ2's second Knuckles big ring location
- Replaced yellow spring with red spring in MHZ1's top path
- Changed layout of MHZ1's 1up location
- Added secret 1up to Knuckles' HPZ
- Added extra secrets to the start of DEZ1's bottom path

Version 1.3 of the mod is out now, tweaking most of the S&K zones to my liking. While this might not add anything that drastic, I'd say this is worth the version number being upped to 1.3. This update mostly contains balancing fixes, so the game isn't too easy with the mod enabled. Also, I just removed that AIZ1 spike. It had some layering problems with the rock sprite above it sometimes, so I decided to just remove it and replace it with a wall. Enjoy.
Changelog: - Removed titular AIZ1.5 spike
- Changed AIZ1.5 top route entrance slightly
- Updated Knuckles' CNZ1 entrance (again)
- Removed three inaccessible rings from Knuckles' LBZ1
- Moved MHZ1 wall slope up to prevent Knuckles from gliding over the entire level
- Revamped little-known FBZ1 top route half-way into the level
- Made Knuckles' SOZ2 area less tedious
- LRZ1 secret top route is now only accessible with Tails or Sonic with a lightning shield
- Added several lava pools to LRZ2, replacing most spike pits
- Changed icon to reflect the AIZ1.5 spike being removed

Not sure if I'm the only one to say this, but there's a bug, when AIZ2 boss multiplies when the screen width is set to 320. Everything is going fine when it's set in 400 pixels, but once the screen shrinks and player goes left - camera goes far left of the area and makes a copy (if not 2) of Eggman.

I know there's a bug where two bosses can spawn in OG S3K if you try accessing both Sonic and Knuckles' boss arenas as Sonic, maybe the camera's somehow hitting the Knuckles boss trigger? I doubt it's anything I can fix myself, since it's likely an engine issue. I suggest you use the Classic Mode mod in the sample mods folder instead of using dev mode to change the resolution to 320x224.

If it happens with just Semi-Tweaked Layouts and Classic Mode enabled, then you’re just straight outta luck, at least for now. I might look into it myself soon and see if I can replicate the problem and find a solution, but I still think it’s an engine anomaly with S3AIR rather than my layouts messing something up.

Yeah, the more I look into it, the more it seems like some weird anomaly with S3AIR itself. The vanilla object layout seems to work fine, but any modifications I do seem to just break the boss in the same way. Unless someone with more romhacking experience has another idea on a potential fix, I'd say just keep the mod off if you're playing in 4:3. Sorry about that.

It's that time again. I updated the mod to 1.3.2. I haven't been able to figure out what's been causing that AIZ2 bug with 4:3, but I've fixed a truckload of other bugs.
Changelog:
- Removed invisible ceilings in HCZ1
- Added door to CNZ2 Knuckles shortcut in Sonic's area to prevent bugs with ES Mighty and Amy Galore
- Changed hidden ring monitor in CNZ2 to fire shield monitor
- Added small fire shield/super-exclusive shortcut in barrel room
- Fixed potential clips in CNZ, ICZ, and LBZ
- Fixed softlock in ICZ1 with an ice block being too close to a wall
- "Squirrels on a plane" achievement can be obtained with the mod enabled again
- Added another big ring to FBZ1
- Added pipe decor objects to electric ceilings in FBZ
- Fixed out of bounds incorrect tiles in FBZ
- Fixed softlock with LRZ2 boulder cutscene
- Lowered DEZ2 safety spring slightly

Please fix the double murals in HPZ. it's not supposed to look that way, vanilla s3 air had that issue during a test build at one point, but it's been fixed for the stable (and many builds before that).
