Here's my 100% correct and not at all wrong timeline that ignores established "canon" in favour of cohesion:
Unsplit Timeline Sonic 1 16-bit -> Sonic CD -> Sonic 2 16-bit -> Sonic 3 & Knuckles (both Sonic & Knuckles' campaigns) -> Sonic Chaos -> Sonic Triple Trouble 8-bit -> Tails Adventure and Sonic Labyrinth -> Tails Skypatrol -> Sonic R -> Sonic 3D Blast -> Sonic the Fighters -> TIMESKIP -> Sonic Adventure -> Sonic Advance -> Sonic Advance 2 -> Sonic Adventure 2 -> Sonic Heroes -> Sonic Battle -> Sonic Advance 3 -> Shadow the Edgelord -> Sonic Rush -> Sonic '06 -> Sonic Rush Adventure -> Sonic and the Secret Rings -> Sonic Chronicles (yes) -> Sonic Unleashed -> Sonic and the Black Knight -> Sonic 4 -> Sonic Colours Wii -> Sonic Generations -> Timeline split
Main/Modern timeline: Lost World -> Forces -> Team Sonic Racing (also yes) -> Frontiers

I have intentionally left out the comics and Sonic Prime because all they do is confuse things. I also feel like the seperate modern and neo classic timelines make more sense.
