 DOWNLOADChanges in v1.1- Fixed Data Select/Competition menu background misalignment in recent Sonic 3 A.I.R. versions
This mod ports the native widescreen backgrounds from Sonic Origins. The following backgrounds have been replaced:
Click the links above for a comparison with the vanilla backgrounds.
Two versions are available, one that ports the backgrounds from Origins with zero edits, and a second one that tweaks some of the errors introduced with Origins (such as the Death Egg 1 background not being symmetrical as in the original game).

I recommend using this and screenres+ if you were replying to my comment, it doesn't do anything. The bg being glitched seems to have something to do with the competition menu being misplaced in newer builds of a.i.r. |

It's a small change but the unstretched backgrounds look a lot better, 7/10 mod.

so, the s&k title bg is actually slightly off-center
tbe coordinates are (8,112) when they should actually be (12,112)
pretty much nobody cares and it's not worth like a small hotfix update at all, but I just wanted to let you know

The newer widescreen areas are just different between A.I.R. and Origins. They still line up in the center. |
