Howdy! It's about time we got the forums finished up. Apologies for it taking a while, but I want to ensure everything goes as smoothly as it does. Here's a rundown on how things will work around here. It's somewhat similar to, say, a comments section on a mod hosting site I'm pretty sure everybody joining in is familiar with by now. Posts are pretty much the general focus of the site, and they're categorized into separate boards based on topics. We've taken this opportunity to also make a few of these boards serve as our mod submission system, which you can read more about in the Mod Submission System/Rules thread. Our hosting service has a help guide you can read
right here, or you could also click on the help button in the navigation bar right below the forum's logo. If your question isn't answered there, feel free to ask it in the Forum Help & Support board on the front page!
Oh yeah, the rules! Read 'em before you post. That should be fairly obvious, however, misbehavior won't be tolerated as much as it may have been elsewhere.
I also have some future plans to hopefully eventually set up a
proper modding wiki to help folks looking to get into 3 A.I.R. modding, as not only are the current modding manual and oxygen manual somewhat buried away in the game's files, but they also don't cover everything. We're also in the process of collaborating with some folks from another community you may or may not have expected to happen eventually, so stay tuned for that.
One last thing I'd like to ask from everybody joining in, including the staff. Since the forums are relatively new and a lot of people are joining in at once and possibly even resubmitting their old mods,
please be patient. Be it users, modders, staff, anybody. Be patient with them. Everybody will be trying to adjust to the forums, and it might be a while before things settle down and everybody gets the hang of how things work. Who knows what kinds of roadblocks might pop up in that time, so I ask you be patient with everybody. This won't be an easy transition from the previous place, so I ask everybody to be patient while we all adjust to this place.
